New Gear and New Friends

It's been an incredibly busy few weeks since arriving home. It feels like only yesterday that I was hopping on the plane to London. Time flies!

I feel as though I've not much to share, as nothing seems to compare with the excitement of my travel blogs. I have, however, spent a large amount of energy revitalising a few things to do with the Henry Paul Photography. I've got some new business cards, which incorporate my new logo. I have also acquired a new wide-angle lens as well as a Gary Fong Lightsphere! I'm just desperate for an opportunity to use them now! I have a session on Saturday, so that might be the time to whip my new gadgets out!

The website is continually being worked on, it's just a bit of a project of mine I guess. But it does help that the bulk of my university assignment focusses on building a website ;)

The End is Looming

The end of my adventure is looming. Noooooo!

In case you weren't aware, the lens that I brought to Europe with me was my 50mm. This week I had the pleasure of borrowing a 17-40mm lens on my explorations. My previous post, Stonehenge, is a combination of my 50mm with the 17-24mm. This post however, which continues on the same tour from Stonehenge, is almost exclusively wide. It covers my visit to Oxford & Windsor Castle.

This week has definitely made me reconsider my lens acquisition strategy, and put a wide lens at the top of the priority list ;)

Looking forward to sharing my trips to Weymouth and Birmingham soon, but for now I've gotta go. Home. To Australia.

Stonehenge

For as long as I can remember, I've always had a fascination with Stonehenge.

Today I got the opportunity to not only visit this pre-historic landmark, but to venture into the inner circle of the stones. It was the first stop on a full day tour to Stonehenge, Oxford & Windsor Castle, and although I was only functioning on three hours sleep, the little boy inside of me was squirming with excitement the whole day :)

A Week in Lincoln

Did you notice the new blog? Ok, maybe not 'new' per say, but it's definitely had a facelift. I've done up a new logo, which I think looks pretty schmick. And I've also been trying to make it easier for you to navigate.

In addition to my blog, my website has also been updated. It's taken a while, but I'm starting to feel a lot happier with it. Long-term, I have a completely different plan on how I want to utilise my site, but since I'm teaching myself as I go, it'll take a little bit longer than a European holiday to get it to the level I want.

Not only have I been redesigning logos and websites, I've also been taking stacks of photos. So here's some from my week in Lincoln. Check it.

Discovering York

Before New York, there was York. Built on the river Ouse, this old Roman city had plenty to offer for a day trip. Castles, cathedrals and chocolate factories. Does a city need anything else?
